Pampanga guv imposes curfew

GOVERNOR Dennis Pineda issued Executive Order 11, imposing a curfew on the whole province, which has already transitioned into general community quarantine (GCQ) Monday, June 1.

The curfew, which also took effect Monday, imposes a 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. prohibition on non-essential activities. This is notwithstanding the general order under GCQ that people below 21 years old and senior citizens are not allowed outside their homes.

People doing essential errands for food and medicines are advised to do their activities outside the curfew hours.

Pampanga and other provinces in Central Luzon are under GCQ after the national Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) placed the whole region under a new protocol until June 15.

Under GCQ, elderly and persons below 21 years old who may serve as transmitters are not allowed to go out. There will also be a loosening of restrictions for exercise and sports activities. Gathering of maximum of 10 persons will be allowed but with strict social distancing measures.
