LAWMEN have arrested a most wanted person in a law enforcement operation in Iligan City, the police reported Tuesday, June 2.
Police Major Helen Galvez, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, identified the arrested suspect as Kerwin Almanoche Bunal, who has been listed as the number eight most wanted person in Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur.
Galvez said Bunal was arrested when authorities served a warrant for his arrest around 5:40 p.m. Monday, June 1, in Upper Hinaplanon village, Iligan City.
Bunal has a standing warrant of arrest for the crime of murder. The warrant was issued on December 17, 2018 by the court of Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur.
Galvez said Bunal was brought to Iligan City Police Station-1 for documentation and he will be transported to Aurora Municipal Police Station for proper disposition. (SunStar Zamboanga)
