PAGADIAN City will celebrate this year's 51st founding anniversary digitally on June 21.
Pagadian City Mayor Samuel Co announced this during the Laging Handa Network Briefing Tuesday, June 2, hosted by Presidential Communication Operations Office Secretary Jose Ruperto Martin Andanar.
Co said they decided to celebrate digitally since public mass gathering is still prohibited although Pagadian City has already shifted to general community quarantine from enhanced community quarantine effective Sunday, May 31.
Co said among the activities they have lined up are feature writing contests, digital art competition and video making competition, among others.
"We have been looking for old photos of our city so that the people will remember the old Pagadian. This is one way of collecting our history," he said.
He said those who wish to join the contest may coordinate with the City Tourism Office. (SunStar Zamboanga)
