DOH-Central Luzon records 109 Covid recoveries in 1 day

THE number of confirmed recoveries from the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) jumped by over 100 cases in a single day, data from the Department of Health (DOH)-Central Visayas showed.

From May 26 up to June 1, the number of confirmed recoveries in the region was stagnant at 272 cases, but a sudden increase of 109 cases was reported start of June, bringing the total to 381.

Based on the data, the province of Bataan recorded the highest number of difference from 96 to 132 recoveries during the 24-hour time frame.

It was followed by Nueva Ecija with 40 additional recoveries from the 10 cases on June 1 to 50 cases on June.

The province of Pampanga also logged an additional 25 Covid-19 recoveries on the same day, while data from Bulacan, Tarlac and Zambales stayed with 75, 19 and 22 survivors, respectively.

Aurora province remains Covid-19-free as of June 2.

Meanwhile, the confirmed cases of Covid-19 barely moved from 594 to 607 during the said period, while two patients have reportedly died, making the total fatalities 64.
