LAWMEN have arrested two newly identified drug personalities in an anti-drug operation in this southern port city, the police reported Thursday, June 4, 2020.
The Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) identified the arrested suspects as Marcelito Hasil, 50, a fish merchant; and Brando Casanillo, 37, a fisherman.
The suspects were arrested by the drug enforcement unit of the Police Station 9 in a buy-bust operation around 8 p.m. Wednesday at Zone 6 in Ayala village, Zamboanga City.
The police said recovered from the possessions of the two were some P4,700 worth of suspected shabu packed in 10 heat-sealed plastic sachets, P200 marked money consisting of two P100 bills, and two packs of cigarettes.
They were placed under the custody of the Police Station 9 in preparation of filing of appropriate charges against them, the police said. (SunStar Zamboanga)
