16 arrested in manhunt operations

CAMP OLIVAS -- Police Regional Office (PRO)-Central Luzon Director Rhodel Sermonia said 16 wanted persons in the region were arrested on June 3 as the campaign against wanted persons is continuously being carried out region-wide.

Three wanted persons sought by law were arrested by police authorities in Nueva Ecija by virtue of warrants of arrest. They were identified as Jesse Gacile of Cabanatuan City, Sofia De Vera Quitos of Science City of Munoz, and Le Muelle Calibot Julian of Zaragosa, Nueva Ecija.

Bulacan police operatives arrested Randel John Ramirez of Hagonoy, Bulacan, and Renato Carpio of San Ildefonso, Bulacan.

Pampanga police were able to arrest Carlo Guevarra of Magalang, Pampanga; J-Cee Navarro of Sto. Tomas, Pampanga; John Mark Pingul of Porac, Pampanga; Roberto Regala alias Roberto Regala of Floridablanca, Pampanga; Jerwin Nayve Garcia of Barangay Cutud, Angeles City, Pampanga; and Nelson Catacutan of Mexico, Pampanga.

Also arrested were Johnber Tolentino of Poblacion, Dipaculao, Aurora; Ysmael Yap alias "Esmael Yap/Big Boss/Big Daddy" of Masinloc, Zambales; Reven Echon of Barangay Babancal, Candelaria, Zambales; Kenneth Lawi of Old Cabalan, Olongapo City; and Zenaida Escober of Old Cabalan, Olongapo City.

All wanted persons were all arrested by virtue of warrants of arrest for cases ranging from carnapping, illegal drugs, estafa, qualified theft and acts of lasciviousness.

"My clear directive to our men on the ground is to continue our crackdown in all forms of criminality amidst our lockdown, the days of these persons sought by law are numbered as we will not stop our campaign to hunt them down. We will continue to find, arrest and put them behind the bars of justice as we vow to eradicate all forms of lawlessness in the region," Sermonia said. (PR)
