IT SEEMS that there are no dull moments for the Sangguniang Kabataan of Samoki Chapter Bontoc, Mountain Province despite the implementation of home quarantine amid the Covid-19 crisis.

From the declaration of the enhanced community quarantine until the implementation of modified general community quarantine they have been very busy with worthwhile activities such as assisting in relief goods distribution, foot patrol, and spearheading activities enjoining the youth and the residents to make their stay at home very productive.

From TikTok, Covid inspired challenge, photography contest, landscaping competition, recently they conducted the “Heal Our Mother Earth Batch 2” activity which is a backyard gardening and landscaping competition.

The winners in this competition are first place: Jay-ar Dalisay; second place: Imee Santos with award in Best in Landscaping; and third place: Teresita Fesway.

The group expressed their gratitude to the Judges Paul Tumapang, Faith Pec-ao, and Erlindo Agwilang including the sponsors who made the event successful.

Another activity was the Creative Garden Craft Program wherein adjudged as first place is Khay Ann Dula; second place: Kiara Kumalao; third place: John Luis Angitag; and fourth place: Melody Saipen.

Mark Preston Lopez, Cheryle Fungo, and Cyross Kiat-ong served as judges for the competition while Atty. Alsannyster Patingan helped as a sponsor.

Officers and members of SK Samoki personally visited the winners to award their cash prizes.

The SK Samoki deserved to be lauded and recognized for the many efforts they have been doing that will benefit their fellow youth including residents in their area notwithstanding the global pandemic.
