ANGELES CITY -- In appreciation for their valuable contribution in the fight against the deadly coronavirus, Mayor Carmelo '”Pogi' Lazatin, Jr. has implemented Ordinance 470, granting subsidies among Sanggunian Kabataan officials of Angeles City.
Councilor Arnoah Prince D.G. Mandani, Sanggunian Kabataan Federation president who sponsored the city ordinance, said that “the 32 SK chairmen, 224 SK kagawads and 64 appointed SK secretaries and treasurers have been in the forefront of this crisis in the very beginning, it is just but proper to acknowledge their contributions and sacrifices."
"Because our dear mayor appreciates the work and sacrifices of our SK kagawads, most especially their work amidst the pandemic, the young leaders received their allowance for the first quarter of the year, " Mandani said.
He, however, clarified that 32 barangay chairmen were not included in the subsidy but only kagawads and appointed secretaries and treasurers.
Mandani represented Lazatin during the recent distribution of P1,000 allowances to the kagawads at the Legislative Building, New City Hall Compound here.
The young councilor said that each of them received P1,000 every quarter for the past three months amounting to 3,000 each.
"The whole federation extends its gratitude to Mayor Lazatin, Vice Mayor Vicky Vega- Cabigting, my fellow councilors and Director IC Calaguas for their never-ending support and appreciation towards the SK kagawads," Mandani added.
"May God continually bless our city and its leaders as we salute all our SK frontliners and continue serving our constituents with a heart. Puso para sa Angeleños," he ended.
