4 new Covid-19 cases in Minglanilla

FOUR new cases of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) have been recorded in Minglanilla town, Cebu on Saturday, June 6, 2020.

The new cases were announced through the municipality's official Facebook page.

The first patient is a 55-year-old female frontliner of the City Health Office. She is a resident of Lower Pakigne village.

The Rural Health Unit said the patient is asymptomatic or those who do not manifest the symptoms of Covid-19.

A 57-year-old female is also positive for the virus, who belongs to the same household as the frontliner. She reportedly experiences the cough.

The two have been subjected to home isolation.

The third patient is a 30-year-old woman working in a public hospital in Cebu City. The patient is a resident of a subdivision in Upper Linao.

The fourth patient is a 28-year-old woman from Lower Calajoan and works in Talisay City, Cebu.

Authorities have already begun contact tracing and disinfecting the areas where the positive cases reside.

The local government of Minglanilla has reminded its residents to adhere to health protocols to curb the spread of Covid-19.

In total, the town has logged 47 positive cases. (ANV/JGS)
