Lizada: Lessons again

IF EVER there will be a pandemic again that will demand isolation, here are a few things to consider.

One. Even if it is not yet due, have your septic tank drained. You are already stressed and the last thing you need is the aroma of past meals. So have the thing drained. And you do not want so many people in your home.

Two. If you can afford to pay your steady bills, like cable, internet, and Netflix, the others cannot be done because no one knows how much power you need to fight the darkness of your soul. Or how many baths and washing of hands that you will do when the darkness of your soul becomes darker.

Three. Have your aircon units checked and cleaned. You never know when those things will conk out. It can be a disaster of apocalyptic repercussions if your beloved units just die on you while you are facing the darkness of your soul.

Four. Pay online. Enroll in those online platforms and just stay home and click away unless of course, you have no more money thus the darkness of the soul engulfs you.

Five. Aside from groceries, buy snacks. Some people gained weight in this pandemic. I actually lost weight because my snacks were limited. Buy snacks, trust me.

Six. Have your water pipes checked before the darkness of your soul comes. Same thing with your wirings. And while we are at it also, doors, screens, windows, floors, tiles. You know what I mean.

Seven. Get a haircut.

Eight. Get a haircut.

Nine. While we are at it, manicure and pedicure.

Ten. Get a haircut and when you do make it short. You never know and you do not wish to look like a stoned hippie after three months. Or four and even five.

Eleven. Make sure you have enough house clothes. I never thought about those things because I was happy with having at least five shirts and three pairs of shorts. Now that my house clothes are the norm, I am running out of options.

Twelve. Stay away or at least minimize social media. There is so much cruelty, lies, toxicity in those things. They just add to the darkness of the soul.

Thirteen. Get rid of the clutter. Besides, you may even get to barter them.

Fourteen. Get rid of the clutter. Stop carrying that needs to be unloaded.

And lastly, buy more snacks.
