NEGROS Occidental is now under an extended modified community quarantine (MGCQ) until June 30, 2020.

Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson has signed Monday, June 15 Executive Order No.20-26, Series of 2020, extending the duration of MGCQ over the entire province.

The governor stated in his EO that locally stranded individuals (LSIs) from the island of Cebu shall only be allowed entry at the government port in Danao, Escalante City.

Admission of returning LSIs from the island of Cebu contingent shall be based on the admission capacity of the Provincial Covid-19 isolation facility in Cadiz City.

The Province of Negros Occidental shall advise the Maritime Industry Authority, Philippine Ports Authority and the Philippine Coast Guard for the admission capacity.

Passengers arriving from the island of Cebu shall undergo mandatory reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test and shall undergo mandatory government quarantine until the negative results come out.

Cebu has been classified as a high-risk area for Covid-19 by the National Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases.

Meanwhile, all LSIs arriving from Manila shall also undergo mandatory RT -PCR test. The LSIs shall be picked up by the local government units where they reside.

All LSIs from Iloilo shall likewise undergo mandatory RT-PCR test and shall undergo strict home quarantine pending results, the EO stated.
