Gubernatorial bet vows to continue serving the poor

LUBAO -- Former board member Lilia “Nanay Baby” Pineda recently reiterated that she will continue serving the poor people in the province of Pampanga.

Pineda made the statement in reaction to the statement issued by the camp of Governor Eddie Panlilio describing the former as “evil.”

“I don’t care what they say about me. What is important is that I have a dream for the poor people,” Pineda said.

At present, thousands of people who are suffering different illnesses already sought Pineda’s assistance and are scheduled to undergo surgery, chemotherapy, dialysis, and other treatments.

Pineda said she will focus on health care, livelihood, education, and other important programs.

She vowed to appropriate more funds on health services. “Yung pondo ng kapitolyo, kulang pa yun. Dadagdagan pa natin yun para marami tayong matulungan sa ating mga kababayan.”

If given a chance to serve, Pineda said hospitals maintained by the Provincial Government will have state-of-the-art equipment and facilities to better serve the patients.

Pineda will run again for governor in Pampanga under the Lakas-Kampi-CMD political party.

She also vowed transparency in governance, by allowing the media in the capitol, if she will gain the province’s top post. (Reynaldo G. Navales)
