Zamboanga City Covid-19 cases rise to 192

THE local Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) on coronavirus disease (Covid-19) reported that the cases of Zamboanga City have increased to 192 as another case was added to the list Friday, June 19, 2020.

The task force said that the new case, listed as ZC192, is a 70-year-old male and a former person deprived of liberty (PDL).

The task force said that the patient is undergoing completion of 14 days quarantine at the Zamboanga City Special Ecozonomic Zone and Free Port quarantine facility before reintegration to the community.

The task force said that on Wednesday, June 17, the fifth day of the quarantine, ZC192 experienced diarrhea. He was referred and eventually admitted to the government-owned Zamboanga City Medical Center (ZCMC) as a case of acute gastroenteritis with moderate dehydration.

ZC192 is in stable condition, according to the local IATF.

Meanwhile, the task force reported that of the 192 recorded cases, 150 have recovered as of Saturday, June 20.

The task force further said that there are only 37 active cases. (SunStar Zamboanga)
