2 more Covid-19 cases recorded in Angeles City

ANGELES CITY -- The City Government has recorded two additional cases of Covid-19 as of Tuesday, June 23, 2020.

Mayor Carmelo "Pogi" Lazatin Jr. said the two patients from Barangay Margot has brought the total number of coronavirus cases in the city to 28.

Of the 28 patients, 23 had recovered and three died, according to the mayor.

"Sa ngayong po, may 28 po tayong Covid-19 na positive sa siyudad natin at 23 po diyan ay naka-recover na. May dalawa po tayong active case ng Covid-19 sa siyudad at ito po ay resulta ng contact tracing na ginagawa po natin," Lazatin said.

An 80-year-old man from Barangay Margot reportedly killed himself inside a private hospital here on June 18.

"Ito po ay resulta nung yumao sa Barangay Margot. May kapamilya po siya na nag-positive sa Covid-19, bale dalawa po iyan," Lazatin said.

Lazatin appealed to his constituents to wear face masks when going outside of their respective residences and practice social distancing to avoid being infected by the deadly virus.

The mayor said individuals who will be found violating the safety protocols will be penalized.
