Santa Rita Covid-19 cases rise to 8

SANTA Rita town, Pampanga now has eight active coronavirus cases according to a recent advisory posted by the Municipal Government of Santa Rita on June 26, 2020.

Since the start of the quarantine period in April, this town has recorded 10 coronavirus cases, two of which have already recovered.

There has been a surge of a new wave of infection this week with at least eight active cases in four barangays.

The town has active cases in Diladila (4), San Basilio (1), San Matias (1), and Becuran (2).

Mayor Ferdinand Salalila said that the two patients in Barangay Diladila are asymptomatic and are currently on strict home quarantine.

The other active cases are confined in various private and government hospitals.

Salalila said that the area in Barangay Diladila, where most of the cases emanated, have been placed under hard lockdown. The mayor said swab testing of all known contacts have been carried out with most results returning negative.

Salalila said that a curfew has been imposed on the town as well as the reimposition of the liquor ban.
