No schedule yet for  SAP distribution in Mabalacat City

MABALACAT CITY -- The local government unit here has clarified that there is no schedule yet as regards the distribution of the second tranche of the Social Amelioration Program (SAP) cash assistance of the national government.

The city's Gender and Development (GAD) office issued this statement after scores of residents are asking for clarification following a recent distribution SAP in Marcos Village, a village where residents are mostly Aetas.

The city GAD stated that the cash aid distribution in the said village was a pilot project of the Department of the Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Central Luzon office for Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas (Gida).

The residents in the said village were no longer required to register at the ReliefAgad App because of their status.

The GAD office also clarified residents in other barangays who were categorized as "additional" or those included in the "waitlisted of unserved families" will also receive two batches of cash aids.

Residents of Marcos Village, classified as "additional families" will also receive two tranches of cash assistance, the City GAD said.
