WITH the pandemic, a lot of people have been found inside their kitchen perfecting a new dish, experimenting on a possible menu or innovating on their previous recipe.

Apart from this scenario, some have also turned into online sellers. And among the most popular products are food. Yes, it still has something to do with the kitchen.

Reaching a wider market or getting the nod of potential customers could be one of the challenging phases in business. The situation could even be worse if you cannot do an actual taste test. The solution? Photos that look extremely mouth-watering can be the sellers’ biggest ally.

With online selling, the challenge could be more on how to present products in a manner that clients could not say “no”. In short, the images posted on social media must be enough to entice friends to place their orders. Thus, food “fashion” became a hit.

Whenever I would check my Facebook account, my newsfeed never runs out of photos that feature different delicacies. They are presented via images that would leave anyone drooling. It feels like one has no other options except to hit the “send message” button to send details, including the delivery address.

Sumptuous finds

Honestly, I was never a fan of moron suman (rice cake with chocolate, cheese and nuts). However, when I saw Ish Montenegro’s post of her version, I immediately placed my order.

The photos were so enticing that I could stop myself from ordering for some.

Another delicious creation is Rosheen Paman’s family bilao filled with lechon belly, pansit, shrimps and fish kinilaw, among others.

Meanwhile, if you and your family are into Korean food, Mheckai Espada-Bayer’s samgyupsal sets are so worth your money. Each set comes with the much-needed ingredients that will surely satisfy your cravings.

When it comes to your sweet tooth, Mai Vergara’s chewy choco-chip cookies are a must-try. Her photo with the dripping filling makes one wants to have them delivered right away.

For snacks, Christine Luy-Manalo’s cinnamon bread can be the best pair for your favorite drink. The food “fashion” image of her freshly baked bread somehow lets anyone have a peek of how it was prepared.

On the other hand, if your family or a friend is celebrating a special occasion, you might have seen several shots of cakes already. But those baked by Dimple Lupina-Caballero are simply scrumptious even if you are only looking at her posted photos. Their designs are so cute, too!

Amid the health crisis, numerous individuals have managed to be productive. They have likewise taught us that fashion could pertain to food as well.
