DUE to the implementation of stricter border controls in Cebu, the Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth)-Central Visayas has extended the payment deadline for direct contributors in Cebu City and the entire Province of Cebu.
In a statement, Arlan Granali, PhilHealth-Central Visayas acting vice president, said payment of premiums for the first semester, covering the month of January to June 2020, for self-earning individuals, professional practitioners and members of group enrollment scheme in Cebu City, in Cebu Province including its component cities is extended until July 31 without penalty.
For the employed sector located in the Province of Cebu and within its component cities, all unpaid contributions for the applicable months of February to June 2020 will be accepted without interest until July 31.
The state health-insurer also reminded employers implementing skeletal workforce arrangement to ensure that employees with no earnings or income are properly reported using the RF-1 or eRF-1 forms generated through the Electronic Premium Remittance System.
Employers who have temporarily stopped operations and those who have resumed operations will have to submit an electronic copy of properly accomplished ER-3 form to their respective PhilHealth Management Accounts Information Specialist.(WBS)
