KAPAMILYA actress Angel Locsin said she's having a rough time with her dad right now because of “lasingera” issue.
In a television interview of Angel, the actress admitted that she is sad because the issue already affected her relationship with her 83-year-old father.
“Actually kami ngayon ni Daddy, medyo meron kaming hindi pagkakaunawaan kasi medjo naniniwala siya sa isyu na alcoholic na ganun.”
But the actress added that her father never failed to give her the best advice and she is working again to gain his trust.
Angel also said she can't seem to understand why other people try to inject malice in what is true and right when she doesn't see any reason of doing so.
She furthered the details that are broadcasted in the televisions and written on the Internet and papers are true but the reasons behind it are wrong.
This issue pertains to her trip to Hong Kong last week with her best friend.
According to Angel, it is true that she went to Hong Kong and boarded a taxi going to the airport.
She added that she went home the same day because she has a rehearsal for the movie, which she will be working with Aga Muhlach.
Angel said on the same day, after the rehearsal, she went back to Hong Kong to continue the trip.
On the drinking issue, Angel said she did try because she needs to feel the emotion of her character in the upcoming movie with Aga wherein she will play a “japayuki” a Filipina entertainer in Japan.
“Kailangan ko ring ma-experience talaga, eh. Sa group ko, sa friends ko, sa career ko rin kasi may mga bagay na hindi mo naman basta pwedeng iimbento ang emosyon.”
According to Angel, she doesn't want to explain her side at first because she believes that she's not accountable to anyone but when people are already making up stories, she believes that clearing up all the issues will be the best solution.
Angel said her personal assistant is still with her, which rumors are saying the other way, and she is responsible enough to make it to all her schedules and engagements.
She added that her manager Ethel Ramos is very strict when it comes to work and she will never tolerate any unprofessional ethics from her talents.
When asked on her current relationship with her father, Angel said they are in a much better situation now. “Okay naman kami kasi tatay ko naman siya, anak pa rin niya ko. Kaya lang ayoko ko lang kasi ilang taon kong tinrabaho na makuha ko ang trust ng daddy ko tapos mababahiran ‘yun ng duda dahil sa isang isyu na hindi mo alam kung saan nagmula.”
The actress added: "Alam ko bilang artista wala tayong magreact, wala tayong karapatang masaktan sa mga ganon kaya lang hindi ko maiwasan kasi syempre tao lang po.”
Angel, who is moving forward and taking things day by day, said she's very thankful to all her friends in and out of showbiz for the love and support they have shown her. (Glaiza Jarloc/Sunnex)
