2 Pampanga towns remain Covid-free

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- Only two municipalities in Pampanga remain free from the coronavirus disease (Covid-19), as of Wednesday, July 1, 2020.

This was after Minalin town confirmed its first case of Covid-19 over the weekend since the outbreak of the disease was declared in early March.

Although confirmed by Minalin Mayor Edgar Flores, the case is yet to reflect on the data of the Provincial Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit as of Tuesday evening.

Due to the said development, only the towns of Arayat and Masantol are now considered still free from the dreaded virus.

The Municipality of Masantol has one suspected case, which is being monitored by the Municipal Health Office while Arayat town reported no suspect patient.

As of Tuesday afternoon, a total of 130 cases were recorded in the whole of Pampanga, 18 of which are considered pending cases, 96 are recoveries and 16 are mortalities.
