CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- The Department of Health (DOH) here recognized the efforts of the Department of Agriculture (DA) and its personnel for helping boost recent blood donation drives.
The DOH, in a virtual awarding ceremony on June 22, 2020, formally recognized the efforts of the DA in the Inter-Agency Blood Olympics 2019. The event coincided with the National Blood Donors’ Month Celebration this July.
The Inter-Agency Blood Olympics aims to motivate others to realize the significance of voluntary blood donation and to recognize the enthusiastic and continuous support of the donors, agencies, and different organizations.
The DA Regional Field Office III was recognized as the most active agency, participating agency, tree of life (third place), and most number of repeat donors (third place).
DA personnel Rolibeth Zapata bagged third place for the most valuable person (focal person). Additionally, 31 employees were recognized.
