Zamboanga police nab 14 in anti-drug operations

FOURTEEN people were arrested while some P125,250 worth of illegal drugs seized in separate anti-drug operations in Zamboanga City, the police reported Thursday, July 2, 2020.

Police Brigadier General Jesus Cambay, Jr., Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula director, identified the arrested suspects as the following: Mudzmil Cesar Joe, 33; Almusayfer Sappayani, 26; Sabri Hassan, 36; Omar Pulalon, 34; Ofemia Joy Pedro, 44; Amilasbi Papasan, 40; Sherwin Ismael, 25; Ronald Evardo, 40; Jarwin Jaipuddin, 38; Louigi Wardino, 38; James Ramos, 28; John Guardino, 30; Michael Milanes, 31; and Joselito Feliciano, 55.

Cambay said that Joe was arrested in possession of P10,000 and P500 marked money in a buy-bust operation around 1 a.m. Wednesday in Sta. Catalina village, this city.

Sappayani was arrested around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Kasanyangan village, this city. Seized from him were some P4,000 worth of suspected shabu and P1,000 marked money.

Cambay said Hassan and Pulalon yielded some P40,000 worth of suspected shabu and P200 marked money when arrested around 7 a.m. Wednesday in Kasanyangan village, this city.

He said recovered from the possession of Pedro were some P1,750 worth of suspected shabu and P300 marked money when arrested around 7:25 p.m. Wednesday in Lustre, Sta. Catalina village, this city.

Cambay said that Papasan and Ismael were arrested around 8:15 p.m. and 7:35 p.m. Wednesday, respectively, in Kasanyangan village, this city.

Recovered from Papasan were some P2,500 worth of suspected shabu and P200 marked money while from Ismael some P7,000 worth of suspected shabu and P500 marked money.

Evardo, Jaipuddin, Wardino, Ramos and Guardino are all newly identified drug personalities who were arrested around 9 p.m. Wednesday also in Kasanyangan village, this city, according to Cambay.

Recovered from them were some P4, 000 worth of suspected shabu and P200 marked money.

Milanes was arrested around 10:40 p.m. in Ayala village, this city. Recovered from him were some P50,000 worth of suspected shabu and P500 marked money.

Feliciano was arrested around 12:40 a.m. Wednesday in San Roque village, this city. Seized from him were some P6,000 worth of suspected shabu and P200 marked money.

Cambay commended the effort of operating units of Zamboanga City Police Office under Police Colonel Thomas Joseph Martir for the continuous anti-illegal drug operations in this city. (SunStar Zamboanga)
