THE Department of Agriculture (DA) Regional Field Office III distributed fertilizers to dozens farmers in the Municipality of Hermosa in Bataan province as part of its Rice Resiliency Project (RRP) on Thursday, July 2.

As of July 1, a total of 380 bags of fertilizers were received by the farmers of the local government unit of Hermosa.

RRP is one of the projects under the Alpas Covid-19, also known as "Plant, Plant, Plant Program," which aims to increase the local rice production of the country during this Covid-19 pandemic.

One of the recipients, Angelita Arellano from Barangay Balsic, Hermosa, expressed her gratitude for the perseverance and commitment of the Department of Agriculture in helping the local farmers.

"I am grateful for the different projects and programs of the DA. I will use the bags of fertilizer I received to improve my farm. Without a doubt, the department is working round the clock to assist and prioritize the farmers." Arellano said.
