Cebu Parklane Hotel's statement on comments circulating online

IT HAS come to our attention that a Facebook post by the wife of one of our guests who has been suspected positive of Covid-19, has been circulating online, tagging the name of the hotel. We, at Cebu Parklane International Hotel, have read the post and understood the sentiments of Mrs. Romo.

Alarmed by the seemingly malicious content of the post, the Hotel Management has decided to shed light and give out facts on this matter.

The official test results that the hotel gave to the guest came from the Bureau of Quarantine. After the hotel received the result from the said agency online, all our staff did was to print it and give the hard copy to the guest. To ensure its confidentiality, our hotel staff placed the printed result in a sealed envelope. Hence, the photo of the envelope with our logo, as seen on the said Facebook post.

Furthermore, our guest, the husband of the author of the said Facebook post, knows the real story. After talking with our staff, he was also contacted by the Bureau of Quarantine to further explain the incident.

This specific Facebook post has already been forwarded to the proper

agencies for further investigation.

However, with the grave accusations directed at the hotel and posted on social media, we are now in the process of taking legal action as the content of the post may affect the credibility of the company and its brand. For now, we would like to request those who are sharing the said post and posting unverified comments to stop and let our Justice System take its course.
