P150,000 shabu seized in Bacolod

AN ESTIMATED P150,000 worth of shabu or methamphetamine hydrochloride was seized in separate drug bust operations of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) in Bacolod City Saturday, July 4.

The operations also led to the arrest of Rollyn Debide, 42, of Barangay Taculing; Glenn Reyes, 38, of Barangay 2; Ike Alyaga, 42, of Barangay 1; and Alex Benjamin, 30, of Barangay 7, all in Bacolod City.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Ariel Pico, spokesperson of BCPO, said Debide was arrested by operatives of Police Station 6 after she sold a sachet of shabu to a police undercover in Purok Gonzaga, Barangay Taculing around 9 p.m.

Police recovered from Debide's possession five sachets of shabu weighing 2.5 grams and with estimated market value of P17,000, the P500 marked money, and 350 cash.

Reyes and his companions Alyaga, and Benjamin were also arrested by operatives of Police Station 2 in Purok Sigay, Barangay 2 around 6:05 p.m.

Police recovered from the suspects' possession nine sachets of shabu weighing 19 grams and with estimated market value of P133,000, the P500 marked money, P660 cash, and a homemade .22 caliber revolver loaded with four live ammunition.

The suspects are detained at the custodial facility of Police Stations 2 and 6 and are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and RA or Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
