6 people from Cebu intercepted in San Carlos

HAIR rebonding at a salon in San Carlos City has led to the arrest of a woman from Cebu, while five others were also intercepted.

San Carlos City police chief, Police Major Mark Angelo Junco, said the first interception was made against a woman, who crossed from Cebu and landed in the area of Sitio Troso, Barangay Buluangan, San Carlos City.

Junco said the woman then proceeded to a salon to have her hair rebonded.

Cops soon arrived and took the woman into custody, along with the male hairstylist involved in the hair rebond.

The two were sent to the city's quarantine facility and are scheduled to undergo RT-PCR testing.

Meanwhile, Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Negros Occidental chief Lieutenant Commander Jansen Benjamin said they intercepted a small boat with five people aboard.

According to Benjamin, officials of Barangay Buluangan, intercepted the five and they immediately contacted the city's local disaster risk reduction management office.

The five were immediately sent to the city's quarantine facility, where they later underwent medical evaluation. PCG personnel, meanwhile, impounded the boat used by the five.
