SANTO Niño Barangay Captain Lourdes Ramirez has tasked the village watchmen (barangay tanods) to do a "24-hour roving" after Sunday's incident wherein children and residents were seen on the streets with no face masks.
Ramirez said they have been roving around Sitio Lutao for 24 hours after the incident.
"Dugay naman nako nang problema nang lugara kay perti ka gahi'g mga ulo, kami ray bantayan," she said.
She said she had also asked the Police Station 3 to place an outpost in the area, but it has not been granted yet due to lack of police personnel.
Ramirez said that since Sunday, July 5, they have apprehended six people for not wearing face masks, while minors who were from T. Padilla were escorted by their barangay tanods back to their respective villages.
She said she will not hesitate to arrest individuals who will not follow the quarantine guidelines of the city.
She also asked the residents to follow health protocols, such as wearing face masks, proper hand hygiene, and observe social distancing. (RSR)
