This brought the number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 16.

The Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC), on the other hand, registered another eight patients who tested negative for the Sars-CoV-2.

Out of the eight patients, three are from Cagayan de Oro, four are from outside the city and one is currently admitted at the ERID ward.

Tested negative from Cagayan de Oro are a 24-year-old male, a 53-year-old male, and a 78-year-old female. From outside the city are a 51-year-old male, a 55-year-old male, a 26-year-old female, and a 31-year-old female.

All of them were diagnosed with acute respiratory failure secondary to pulmonary tuberculosis and community-acquired pneumonia.

Admitted at the ERID ward is a 42-year-old female from outside Cagayan de Oro who was transferred to the NMMC due to preterm labor.

According to NMMC medical specialist Dr. Bernard Rocha, the woman was swabbed in Manila and the result came out negative. However, when she was tested through a rapid diagnostic test at the city isolation unit, the result read positive.

She was swabbed again at the NMMC on July 6 and the result came out negative.
