THE Maxceys's Veranda emerged champion in the just-concluded Mayor Rody and Vice Mayor Inday Sara Duterte Open Bowling Tournament 2010 held at the Fairlanes Bowling Center.
Veranda pocketed a cash prize of P10,000 while runner-up Diagold 2 took P6,000. The Adventurers 2 and Daigold 1 got P4,000 and P3,000 for finishing third and fourth, respectively. The top four teams also received trophies.
Maxcey's bet Jojo Sta. Maria, meanwhile, bagged the masters title over Mel Bojo of Adventurers 1 in the Sunday Bowlers Club (SBC)-organized meet.
Sta. Maria also swept the highest individual single (160), highest individual double (291) and highest individual average (130.50) titles.
Maxcey's also dominated the highest team single (642) and highest team double (1,232) awards of the bowlfest supported by Davao City Mayor Rodrigo and Vice Mayor Inday Sara Duterte. (MLSA)
