Angeles City records 33 Covid-19 cases

THE Angeles City Government has recorded 33 coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases, as of July 7, 2020.

Mayor Carmelo "Pogi" Lazatin Jr. said they are monitoring an additional two active cases, bringing the total Covid-19 patients in the city to four.

Lazatin said that 25 of the 33 patients had recovered and four died of the coronavirus disease.

At present, the local chief executive added that there are 56 persons who are under quarantine at the City College of Angeles.

The mayor said he ordered the rapid testing and the closure of Pampang Public Market after a vendor died of the virus.

Lazatin said the public market has already reopened but its management is enforcing minimum health standards in adherence to the guidelines of the Department of Health and the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases.

Out of 1,500, lima po yung nag-confirm natin na IGM kaya yan poay pina-swab natin," Lazatin said.

He disclosed none of the vendors who underwent swab examination had tested positive of Covid-19.
