BARANGAY 21-C Captain Edmundo Altizo clarified that he did not impose a lockdown in the barangay, contrary to the social media post of another news outlet that started circulating Wednesday, July 8, 2020.

"Dili kana tinuod, siguro na misinterpret lang sa uban ilang nadunggan gikan sa miting namo (That's not true, I think they have misinterpreted what they have heard during our meeting)," he said in an interview with SunStar Davao.

He added that he is still wondering how they have come up with that idea, saying that "wala gyud ko kabalo asa ni gikan (I just don't know where it is coming from)."

He added the barangay is open to residents transferring from other barangays but he is planning to require them to secure medical certificates to ensure that they are not carriers of the Covid-19 virus.

(sic) (Barangay 21-C, Davao City is implementing a lockdown wherein according to Barangay Captain Edmundo Altizo Sr., they are not permitting entry of residents of Barangay 23-C, which is their neighboring barangay.
