Benguet confirms new Covid-19 cases

THREE new coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases were confirmed in Benguet on Friday, July 10, while Baguio City listed two.

Benguet Provincial Health Office reported that the new cases include a 39--year-old barangay tanod from Camp 3, Tuba; a 42-year-old housekeeper; and a 16-year-old male, both from Barangay Betag, La Trinidad.

All three patients have asymptomatic symptoms.

As of Thursday, July 9, there are nine active Covid-19 cases in the province, with 36 recoveries.

With Benguet still on general community quarantine, Governor Melchor Diclas said active cases are usually admitted in Benguet General Hospital and others in quarantine facility in Baguio.

A triage is also set up at the Benguet Training Center in Wangal in La Trinidad for overseas Filipino workers and locally stranded individuals.

In Baguio City, a 58-year-old male from Bakakeng Norte and a 22-year-old female from Loakan Liwanag also tested positive for the coronavirus.
