Minalin mayor reports 2 new Covid-19 cases

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- Minalin Mayor Edgar Flores, in a social media post, confirmed that two new coronavirus cases have been recorded in the town Sunday, July 12, 2020.

The two new patients, Case No. 4 and 5, were close contacts of Case No. 2, according to Flores. Case No. 2 is the 50-year-old ambulant vendor who died recently from the coronavirus infection, which incidentally is also the first recorded death from the virus in the said town.

The two new cases are currently under monitoring in government-run health facilities. The town had also initiated tracing of all known contacts of the two patients for testing and monitoring. Stricter quarantine measures are now being implemented in the town.

On July 11, Flores also announced that Case No. 3, close contact of Case No. 2, was also infected.
