PDEA-Central Luzon shuts down drug den in Pampanga

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO - Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Central Luzon in coordination with local police has shut down a drug den located in Barangay Dau, Mabalacat City.

PDEA-Central Luzon Regional Director Christian Erivaldo said the illegal facility was closed along with the arrest of its operator.

He identified arrested suspects as Jayson J Anunciacion, 35, Joel J. Anunciacion, 29, Jericho J. Anunciacion, 22, Bryan T. Anunciacion, 25, and Melissa G. Libre, 21, female.

The sting operation also yielded some 10 grams of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) with an estimated street value of P68,000, assorted drug paraphernalia, Colt MK IV, caliber .45 pistol, 10 pieces of live ammunition and the buy-bust money.

“The suspects were engaged in a pot session when PDEA agents swooped down on the place”, Frivaldo said.

Charges for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) and RA 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act) are being readied for filing in court.
