Negros Occidental registers high Covid cases in 2 days

NEGROS Occidental registered a high number of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) positive cases in the past two days.

Based on the record of the Department of Health Western Visayas, Negros Occidental has 12 new cases on Monday, July 13, 2020.

The new 12 cases are from Talisay City (4); Cauayan (10; Silay City (1); Himamaylan City (1); Murcia (1); Calatrava (1); Manapla (1)and Sipalay City (1).

Bacolod City has also one new positive case.

In DOH-Western Visayas's record of Covid-19 positive cases on Saturday, 17 were from Negros Occidental and nine from Bacolod City.

The Covid-19 patients included a 46-year-old male from Victorias City who is a General Services Office driver and a 58-year-old female from Bago City who is hospitalized. She is the mother of a locally stranded individual (LSI) Covid-19 positive patient.

The two from Bacolod are a 23-year-old female who is facility-quarantined and a 29-year-old male who is hospitalized.

The seven other Covid-19 positive cases from Bacolod City reported during the weekend are facility quarantined LSIs.

Of the 15 others from Negros Occidental, one is an overseas Filipino worker from Sagay City and 14 are LSIs.

DOH records showed that of the LSIs, three each are from Calatrava and Cauayan, two from San Carlos City, and one each from Isabela, La Carlota City, Hinoba-an, Talisay City, Manapla, and Sipalay City.
