Cagayan de Oro's 98th case is a teen LSI

A 15-YEAR-OLD female locally stranded individual (LSI) from Taguig City tested positive for coronavirus, making her Cagayan de Oro's 98th confirmed case, City Health Office Epidemiologist Dr. Joselito Retuya reported on Tuesday, July 14.

The teenager is a resident of Barangay Kauswagan who arrived by plane in Cagayan de Oro on July 6. She was brought to the city isolation unit upon arrival and is set to be transferred to the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility.

The City Health Office has identified a close contact of the teenager -- her mother, who is also staying at the city isolation unit.

Meanwhile, another coronavirus-positive patient has recovered from the disease after the repeat test result came out negative, Retuya said.

The new recovered patient is the last Macanhan positive case who will be re-integrated to the community after her discharge.

Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) has also recorded nine patients whose test results came out negative.

Negative were a 77-year-old female, a 49-year-old female, a 69-year-old male, a 61-year-old female, a 49-year-old female, and a 61-year-old female all from outside the Cagayan de Oro; and a 31-year-old male, a 61-year-old male, and an 11-month-old female residents of the city.
