Limlingan: Support to education

THE Pampanga Provincial Government is much supportive to young kapampangans as ever. This was manifested as Governor Dennis "Delta" Pineda has vowed to give 74 units of risograph machines for the printing of educational modules and other materials for television. This is in support of the implementation of the Blended Learning Program of the Department of Education (DepEd).

The educational situation in the country as well in the whole world is far different from the past. What has been physical attendance to classes is strictly required before, physical distancing or study-from-home scheme is now implemented.

This is a mere measure to avoid the further spread of the coronavirus disease 2019, especially the young who are susceptible to getting infected. Just like those citizens who are considered seniors and those with weaker immune system, some are more prone to virus infections.

Going back to education, the provincial Capitol is also considering the tapping of CLTV 36, the local television station in Central Luzon for a block time program that will complement to the new educational system for Pampanga. Such shall involve the production of learning materials that will be aired on local television in the province.

Recently, Governor Pineda met with local chief executives of the province and some DepEd officials regarding the upcoming educational system in Pampanga and came out with the final plans for the implementation of the said program.

When the school year opens by next month, the province will be utilizing the modular and television approach. This shall become the "new normal" when it comes to the learning activities of young Kapampangans. We can see that the provincial government is serious in helping the young start or continue their education that was disrupted by the global pandemic.

The initiative of Governor Pineda is highly commendable and in him is his intention of helping Kapampangan youth in their educational needs. Meanwhile, Pampanga mayors are likewise very eager to help in the provision of education despite the still extant global health threat.

The DepEd Division of Pampanga has commended the provincial government for its thrust in providing quality education for Kapampangans as manifested by the intention of the provincial Capitol in extending its help by providing necessary learning tools and materials.

At the height and strict implementation of the Enhanced Community Quarantine that was prompted by the rise of Covid-19 cases, the provincial government has extended food packs, protective materials and other assistance to Kapampangans, making the presence of Pampanga leaders felt at the farthest sitio of the province.

During times of calamities, disasters and other emergencies, including this pandemic, the Pampanga capitol is always at the forefront in looking after for the welfare of the Pampanga constituencies. In times of crisis, Pampanga leaders always unite and come up with solutions that are sincerely thanked for by the people of the province.
