Benguet records 37th Covid-19 recovery

ANOTHER frontliner admitted for coronavirus disease (Covid-19) was discharged on Monday, July 13, bringing the total number of recoveries in Benguet province to 37.

The patient is a barangay health worker who was admitted on June 29.

The patient went home in Buguias after receiving negative test result of Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction or RT-PCR test.

A simple send-off ceremony was conducted by Benguet General Hospital medical frontliners, BeGH acting chief Dr. Meliarazon Dulay and Governor Melchor Diclas.

The Covid-19 survivor was given a plant and relief pack.

The Department of Health (DOH) in Cordillera Covid-19 tracker showed that there are 140 cases recorded in the region, with 109 recoveries and two deaths.

Governor Melchor Diclas said all Covid-19 cases are closely monitored while all patients admitted at the Benguet General Hospital have recovered.

"This was made possible through the cooperation of our healthcare workers and partner agencies for provision of medical supplies and PPEs," he added.
