Health worker in Mabalacat tests positive of Covid-19

MABALACAT CITY -- Another medical frontliner here has tested positive for Covid-19.

The City Government, however, clarified on Tuesday, July 14, 2020, that the patient is stay-in personnel of a government hospital and no longer going home and visiting her family in Barangay San Francisco here.

With this, there is no need to conduct contact tracing, according to the local government unit (LGU).

"Dahil dito, hindi na ito kailangan pang ipa-contact tracing dahil wala itong reported history of travel sa Mabalacat," the LGU stressed.

The City Government has assured its constituents of intensified monitoring and surveillance to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

"Ganunpaman, patuloy pa rin ang pag-monitor ng lokal na pamahalaan sa pandemic," the city government said.

The local government reminded the residents to always protect themselves against the virus by practicing social distancing, the wearing of face masks, and others.

Maraming salamat po at God bless Mabalacat City," the government stated.

The city has recorded nine Covid-19 cases as of July 13 and all of the patients had recovered from the disease.

Three of the recovered patients are from Barangay Dau, two in Mabiga, one in Dapdap, one in Tabun, one in Bundagul and one in Santa Ines.
