THE local Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) said that the confirmed coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases in Zamboanga City soared further to 342 as local health authorities logged seven additional new cases.
The local IATF said that with the new seven cases, the active cases have increased to 146 with 186 recoveries and 10 mortalities, based on the results released Tuesday evening, July 14, 2020.
The task force said that the new cases are identified as ZC336, ZC337, ZC338, ZC339, ZC340, ZC341, and ZC342.
ZC336 is a 58-year-old male from Campaner Street and close contact of ZC322, a 49-year old male from San Jose Gusu village.
ZC336 is asymptomatic and admitted to Euntes isolation facility in Sinunuc village.
ZC337 is a 48-year-old female from Tugbungan village and close contact of ZC309, a 17-year old male from the same village. ZC337 is asymptomatic.
ZC338 is a 58-year-old female from Talon talon village, who is symptomatic and admitted to the Zamboanga City Medical Center (ZCMC).
ZC339 is a 42-year-old male from Suterville, San Jose Gusu village, who is symptomatic and admitted to the government-owned ZCMC.
ZC340 is a 50-year-old male from Tetuan village, who is symptomatic and currently admitted at a private hospital and due for transfer to the government-run ZCMC.
ZC341 is a 38-year old male returning overseas Filipino (ROF) from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. He is asymptomatic and isolated at Euntes isolation facility.
ZC342 is a 32-year old male and personnel of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP). He is asymptomatic and isolated at the Euntes isolation facility.
Meanwhile, the task force said that of the 146 active cases, 69 are due to community transmission, 22 are from the Zamboanga City Reformatory Center, 48 are locally stranded individuals while seven are ROF. (SunStar Zamboanga)
