MAYOR Vicente Limpiado of Tagapul-an, Samar was rushed to the hospital after he was shot by a still unidentified gunman Thursday, July 16, 2020.
Police said the shooting happened around 8:50 a.m. Thursday in Barangay Sugod of the said town.
Initial investigation disclosed that Limpiado was about to leave his farm when the gunman, coming from the opposite side of the road, suddenly fired several times using an unknown caliber of firearm, hitting the mayor at the back portion of his body.
Police are conducting a hot pursuit operation against the gunman. (SunStar Philippines)
