WITH events around the world being cancelled due to the pandemic, concerts are obviously not happening anytime soon. It’s definitely sad that we won’t get to see our favorite artists live but for now, safety is our priority. While they won’t compare to the actual event, concert films are the next best thing.

Here are five from some of today’s biggest names you might want to watch:

“Ben Platt: Live from Radio City Music Hall”

If you watch “The Politician,” then you know how talented its lead actor is. Watch his concert last September in the Big Apple, the final stop on the concert tour for his debut album “Sing To Me Instead.” No costume changes and heavy set designs—just Ben Platt and his incredible voice.

“Homecoming: A Film by Beyoncé”

A chronicle of Beyoncé’s epic performance at the 2018 Coachella, this shows not only how fierce of a performer she is, but also how much effort and heart she puts in her craft. The concert film was written, directed and executive produced by Queen Bey herself—is there anything she can’t do?

“Lady Gaga Presents: The Monster Ball Tour at Madison Square Garden”

Take a trip down memory lane with this oldie but goodie, looking back on Gaga’s The Fame Monster phase circa 2011. The film received several nominations at the 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards, eventually winning Outstanding Picture Editing for a Special (Single or Multi-Camera).

“Taylor Swift: Reputation Stadium Tour”

The sixth studio album marked Swift’s comeback—a new era of her career—with an edgier look and sound. In this concert special, relive the all-stadium tour in 2018 that would eventually become the highest-grossing concert tour in the history of the United States and North America.

“Coldplay: A Head Full of Dreams”

Less of a concert film and more of a music documentary, the film documents the band’s 20-year journey in the industry, touching on its members’ experiences before achieving global fame, and footage of performances during the “A Head Full of Dreams Tour” in 2017.
