THE local Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) on coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) reported that 14 additional cases were reported Wednesday, July 15, bringing the total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Zamboanga City at 356.
The new cases also raised the total number of active cases to 157.
Of the 356 confirmed cases, 189 have already recovered, while 10 had died, according to the local IATF.
Of the 14 new cases, the task force said that 13 are from the community, while one is a locally stranded individual (LSI).
The task force said that of the total 157 active cases, 81 are from the community, 48 LSIs, six returning overseas Filipinos (ROF) and 22 are Zamboanga City Reformatory Center-related cases.
The task force said the 14 new cases are identified as ZC343, ZC344, ZC345, ZC346, ZC347, ZC348, ZC349, ZC350, ZC351, ZC352, ZC353, ZC354, ZC355, and ZC356.
ZC343 is a 61-year-old female from Tetuan village, who is symptomatic and admitted at government-run Zamboanga City Medical Center (ZCMC) Covid-19 referral facility.
ZC344 is a 34-year-old male from Talon Talon village. He is asymptomatic and isolated at Euntes Isolation facility.
ZC345 is a 43-year-old male from Sta. Catalina village who is also asymptomatic and isolated at Euntes Isolation facility.
ZC346, ZC347, ZC348, ZC349, and ZC350, who are all from Campo Islam (Lower Calarian) village, are all close contacts of ZC303 and are asymptomatic. ZC303 is a 48-year-old male from Tetuan village.
ZC346, ZC347, ZC348, ZC349, and ZC350 are aged 53 (female), 28 (male), 26 (male), 46 (male), and 50 (female), respectively.
ZC351 is a 25-year-old female from Canelar village and is asymptomatic.
ZC352 is a 24-year-old male locally stranded individual from Jolo, Sulu. He is asymptomatic.
ZC353 is a 56-year-old male from Sta. Catalina village and is a close contact of ZC 301 and is asymptomatic.
ZC301 is a 53-year-old female from Sta. Barbara village who consulted a private physician due to shortness of breath and loss of sense of taste. She is isolated at the Lantaka isolation facility.
ZC354 is a 53-year-old male from San Roque village who has mild symptoms.
ZC355 is a 21-year-old female from Kasanyangan village and is admitted at ZCMC.
ZC356 is a 40-year-old male from Putik village, who is asymptomatic.
The local IATF has strongly urged the residents to observe health protocols to stop the surge of the Covid-19 cases in Zamboanga City. (SunStar Zamboanga)
