POLICE operatives have arrested in a law enforcement operation one of the most wanted persons of Zamboanga City, an official announced Friday, July 17, 2020.
Police Major Helen Galvez, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, identified the arrested wanted person as Alberto Fernandez Almonte, 39, a construction worker.
Galvez said Almonte was arrested in a law enforcement operation by way of service of a warrant of arrest around 11:30 a.m. Thursday in Malanang village, Opol, Misamis Oriental.
She said that Almonte has a standing warrant of arrest for the crime of robbery with no recommended bail and is listed as the Top 9 Most Wanted Person in the area of responsibility of the Zamboanga City Police Office Station 8.
Galvez said the suspect was temporarily detained at the Opol Municipal Police Station of Misamis Oriental. (SunStar Zamboanga)
