Pangan: An exceptional rendition of service

TRUE to its promise, Bio Vie, a diagnostic and medical center based at Baronesa Place, Dau, Mabalacat, held its relatively free medical activity on Saturday, July 11, 2020, at the Bayanohan Center (clubhouse) of Fiesta Communities.

Starting at 6 a.m., the team was led by Dr. Mark Mendoza and assisted by Rajel Beltran, RM (MedTech) and Mikaela Chazz Lingad (Medical Receptionist). The owner of the firm, Hilda Hermosa, was on hand to assist in the service of Fiesta residents.

Bio Vie pledges to conduct more medical activity to benefit Fiesta Communities residents. It also aims to contribute to the fight against Covid-19 and promote health and safety protocols.

In fact, immediately after the last person to be looked at, Hilda ordered the disinfecting of the clubhouse, the venue of the medical activity.

Leaflets of the services Bio Vie dishes out were distributed to those who came to the venue. It also offers home service and online consultation, available from Monday to Saturday from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. within the Pampanga area only.

It has other schedules for Fiesta Communities: July 11 to 12, July 18 to 19, July 25 to 26 and August 1 to 2. On top of the services, Bio Vie gives 30 percent discounts with free consultation valid until July 31.

Department of Finance Secretary Carlos G. Dominguez, one of the most pragmatic members of the Duterte administration, claimed that the "government needs to strike a balance between safeguarding public health and restarting the economy as the country struggles in the coronavirus pandemic.

He emphasized that the people's health and safety remain the government's priority but Filipinos cannot keep retreating from the virus at the cost of their livelihood.

Truly, the government is experiencing the hardest pinch in its economy and financial resources, prompting President Duterte to say that he is even contemplating selling prime government properties, e.g. PICC, just to meet pressing Covid-related expenditures. It is a hard decision to make but the President must do it to save more lives.

Secretary Dominguez exudes confidence: This crisis will not diminish our willingness to exercise decisive leadership. By working together, we will beat this pandemic and come out even stronger. Sana all.
