Court orders evidence vs 2 porn vendors

THE Regional Trial Court (RTC) has given 10 days for the prosecution to formally enter their exhibits on the case filed against two vendors caught selling pornographic videos during simultaneous raids last year.

RTC Branch 11 Presiding Judge Virginia Hofileña Europa has also given 10 days for the defense to submit their comment or objection.

Jamal Osop and Norsaif Gomising were arrested by the National Bureau of Investigation Southeastern Mindanao Regional Office (NBI-Semro) on May 27, 2009.

They were charged for selling pornographic materials based on the accounts of Senior Inspector (SI) Jonathan Balite, SI Joel Ayop, and SI Wilfredo Castillo of the NBI-Semro.

In an affidavit, the NBI operatives said that on May 26, they received a letter from Women Network Group about the proliferation of sex scandal videos and requested for its seizure.

Around 11 a.m. of the following day, a raid was conducted, resulting in the seizure of 11 videotapes from Osop and 20 video tapes from Gomising.
