Mabalacat City logs 2 new Covid-19 cases

THE Mabalacat City Health Office (CHO) has recorded two new coronavirus disease (Covid-19) as of July 19.

The two new patients, who are both male, are from Barangays San Francisco and Santa Ines.

They were tagged as the city's patient 10 and 11 after testing positive for the virus.

Patient Number 10 is a frontline health worker staying in a government hospital in the City of San Fernando.

The City Government found out during a contact tracing that the patient did not go home in Barangay San Francisco.

The CHO assured that Patient Number 10 had no direct contact with residents in said village. He is still under quarantine and treatment.

The 11th patient, on the other hand, had travelled in Makati City and nearby Angeles City on July 12, 2020.

The following day, the 29-year-old patient developed a fever. On July 15, he experienced other symptoms, including dry cough and loss of taste.

The patient sought medical assistance from a private hospital but was later transferred to the Diosdado Macapagal Memorial Hospital in Guagua town after he tested positive for coronavirus.

The City Government, under the leadership of Mayor Cris Garbo, urged the residents to observe health protocols like social distancing, wearing of face mask and others to prevent the spread of the virus.
