Cadiz City hosts online art competition

THE 53rd Charter anniversary of Cadiz City did not have so much fanfare because of the risk and challenges caused by the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) that continues to spread.

One of the competitions that was deemed safe and meaningful was the staging of an online artwork competition anchored on the theme: Covid-19 experience.

The said online event was initiated by the city's Tourism Office headed by Tourism Officer Juanyly Pedrosa.

Local artists anchored the theme of their art works to the coronavirus disease.

Due to the risk of Covid-19, the competition went on using the cyber platform, an opportunity to revive the enthusiasm of the local artists who were also affected by the Covid-19 plague.

The winners in the said art competition include Nelson A. Gonzales, first place; Regine Pintor, second place; and Rexie Casumpang, third place. All winners received cash prizes.

Consolation prizes were given to Christiany Joy S. Lazaro, Denmark L. Demasuay, Alfred Jan D. Dulojan, Cris Angelo Dominguez and Rollyn Jay A. Tumimbang.

The site judges include Allan Espinosa, Leonel Baulita and Miss Linchan Pelagio Javier.

The online judges include Ronnie J. Baldonado, Rigor Esguerra and Miss Sugar Cuenca-Tonogbanua.
