MORE than P3 million worth of methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) was seized by joint forces of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and Pasay police in a drug sting launched in Pasay City on Tuesday evening, July 21.
PDEA Central Luzon Regional Director Christian Frivaldo, whose personnel assisted in the operation, said the illegal drugs were seized from two persons identified as Nico Dikit and Reuben Andrei Morong.
Frivaldo said the suspects are responsible in the bulk distribution of shabu in Metro Manila and Central Luzon.
During the operation, about 500 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P3.4 million and the buy-bust money used in the anti-drug operation were recovered from the suspects, Frivaldo said.
Violation of section 5 (sale of dangerous drugs) in relation to section 26 (conspiracy to sell) of Republic Act 9165 is being readied for filing in court.
