AFTER Mayor Danilo Guintu tested negative for the virus, Masantol town remains free from the coronavirus disease (Covid-19).
Guintu, along with Governor Dennis Pineda, 11 other mayors and other Pampanga officials submitted themselves to swab testing on Sunday, July 19, after they were exposed to Candaba Mayor Rene Maglanque during a meeting of the Pampanga Mayors' League. They tested negative.
The mayor expressed gratitude to his kabalens who sent messages of prayers while waiting for the test results.
"Your messages and prayers became my strength during that brief time of uncertainty," he said.
As of Tuesday afternoon, July 21, the municipality has zero confirmed Covid-19 cases, and only two suspect cases.
Guintu thanked Masantoleños for their continued support and cooperation to ensure that their community will remain Covid-19 free.
He said the local government continues to implement measures protecting its people and the community such as border control.
"We continue to ask for your cooperation in fighting this invisible enemy. With our unity, we can defeat the virus easier," he said.
